We believe in making a positive impact on our community.
By offering paid volunteer time, our employees can give their time and energy to the causes most meaningful to them. Through a corporate matching gift program, we strengthen charitable donations to organizations both local and global.
As a company, EnviroLogix is also dedicated to…
STEM Education
We believe in nurturing the scientists of tomorrow. Portland Public Schools and EnviroLogix first partnered in 2014 when we sponsored the first annual Portland STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Expo for middle and high school students. Since then we have continued to sponsor this growing event and our staff enjoys volunteering, both at the Expo and in Portland classrooms, to interact with kids and teach real life science applications through hands-on activities.
The STEM initiative has recently expanded to include a grant program. We are proud to provide this annual funding resource that supports innovation by local teachers.
Giving Back
We believe in giving of our time and talents to benefit those in need and make our community a better place for all. We support the Preble Street Teen Center, to help homeless youth get the food and clothing they need to get through long Maine winters. We host annual blood drives, build houses with Habitat for Humanity, and provide volunteer service at many other valuable community organizations like STRIVE, the Iris Network and the Maine Wildlife Park. Our Leadership Team is personally involved with many charitable organizations as well.
Protecting Our Environment
EnviroLogix is committed to making a lasting difference. In 2014, we adopted a section of the Portland Trails - a nonprofit land trust that preserves the local environment for public access - and lend a hand with cleanup and maintenance. We have also had the privilege of volunteering to repair and maintain green spaces within the Royal River Conservation Trust. Our Sustainability Team works on implementing new ways for us to lessen our environmental footprint. In 2015, we added composting to our existing recycling program in an effort to further reduce waste.
